Protect Wild Dolphins in South Carolina

The Protect Wild Dolphins license plate is sponsored by Protect Wild Dolphins Alliance Inc. Proceeds from the plate will be used to provide research, conservation, and educational programs to protect wild dolphins. The cost for the plate is $60 every two years in addition to the regular registration fees.You must submit a completed Application for Special Plate (SCDMV Form MV-95) along with required fees. This plate is available in ALL field offices and through the mail.

    STEP 2. On page 2, select Protect Wild Dolphins in the $60.00 + Registration Fee Section

    Specialty plates are issued to private passenger vehicles or light trucks with an empty weight of 9,000 pounds or less and a gross vehicle weight of 11,000 pounds or less.Depending on your vehicle's present expiration date, an updated tax receipt and additional fees may be required. If your current plate is within three months of expiring, you should pay your property taxes and renew your plate BEFORE you submit an application for a specialty plate.
